Enter a site name, not a bunch of hype and bs!
Believe it or not, names such as 'FREE PICS' or 'Free Video' or 'Thousands of free sex pics' and the like actually don't do very well.
Your description is your advertisement
Use it wisely and be accurate. Avoid things like 'best on the net' or claims everyone knows are unlikely to be true. Surfers tell me they seldom go to sites like that. Write out a good description that uses a few keywords relating to your site BEFORE you go to any site's submission page. 'On the fly' descriptions are not usually very well done. Do NOT just put a bunch of keywords. All surfers tell me they give the description the most weight in their decision to visit a web.
Choose categories that best suit your site
Don't just choose the ones you think will make your site appear the most. I get a bunch of mail about folks putting teens or celebrity as their category when they don't have either one. This only ruins the chances of getting someone into your site.
DON'T DUPLICATE!!!!!
This is the WORST thing you can do here! Make each category different or don't use them all (make sure they fit, too). Try not to duplicate category names in your description. When the database is searched for let's say, 'celeb', the engine checks the Name, URL, Description AND each Category. So, if you put Celebrity in all three categories you've blown two extra chances to be found. It doesn't matter how many times a string is found, it does NOT effect your listing position.

General Tips For Sites

Make sure your opening pages load quickly
Guaranteed, nothing turns surfers away faster than a slow page. 3 seconds on a computer seems like eternity. Don't make them wait long or they'll just hit they back button and find another site. 45k is a good maximum to use on front pages. Definitely in this area 'less is more'.
